Biography
Development of Toxic Compound Reduced Lignin Epoxy Coating Material for Carbon Steel in
Mild H2S Corrosion
Field of research: H2S corrosion on carbon steel [M.Sc. thesis].
Details:
• Sulfate reducing bacteria (SRB) was detacted as the source for microbiologically influenced
corrosion.
• A non-toxic organic coating was developed to mitigate H₂S corrosion on carbon steel.
• Bisphenol epichlorohydrin, amino-propyl-triethoxysilane, and lignin have been incorporated to
enhance adhesion, corrosion resistance, and hydrophobicity.
• XPS, FTIR, FESEM, and TGA have been used for characterization.
• Optimization via Box-Behnken design and electrochemical tests (Tafel and EIS) confirmed the
coating’s effectiveness.
Numerical Investigation of Mass Injection Approach for Mitigation of Propeller Cavitation
Field of research: Computational Fluid Dynamics [B.Sc. thesis]
Details:
• Numerically evaluated the performance of the mass injection method for mitigating cavitation in
submerged high-speed bodies.
• k–ω SST turbulence model with curvature correction and the Zwart cavitation model has been used
to study sheet cavitation on a modified INSEAN E779A propeller.
Computational investigation of pulsatile blood flow through sinusoidal stenosis of varying lengths
Field of research: Biofluid flow [Independent research work]
Details:
• Conducted numerical simulations of axisymmetric, laminar, pulsatile blood flow through sinusoidal
stenosis, under a sinusoidal pulse of 2.9 Hz and a Womersley number of 7.75.
• Findings revealed that shorter stenosis lengths intensified vorticity and WSS concentration near the
stenosis center, indicating higher risks associated with reduced lengths.
Environmental impacts of wind turbines
Field of research: Renewable energy [Independent research]
Details:
• Conducted an in-depth review of the environmental effects of conventional wind farms and the
performance limitations of wind turbines.
• Evaluated recent advancements in wind farm technologies and identified potential research pathways
for technical optimization and for policy improvement.
